TechWizard Online™ Alcohol Calculator

The feature calculates the % Alcohol by volume for a formula. It also calculates % alcohol by weight.

Calculate % Alcohol by Volume and Density for Formula Containing Alcohol

TechWizard Online™ works on a percent weight basis however Alcohol is sometimes reported on percent by volume basis. This feature does the conversion.

The property Alcohol with units of percent must be in the formula. An alcohol containing ingredient must be part of the formula.

Select the Alcohol Calculator tab.
Click the Calculate Formula Alcohol by Volume and Density button. The prompt displays the calculated % Alcohol by Volume and Density (Kg/L). If you wish to update the formula density, then answer Yes to the prompt.

Calculate % Alcohol by Weight

The % Alcohol by volume is usually reported for Alcohol containing ingredients. In order to use these ingredients to in TechWizard Online™ and calculate alcohol content the % Alcohol by weight is required. This feature does the conversion.

Select the Alcohol Calculator tab.
Enter the % Alcohol by volume value in the space provided.
Enter the specific gravity or density (Kg/L) in the space provided.
Click the Calculate button.
The % Alcohol by weight is calculated.
