Dataform: Modifying Ingredient Price

The user should already have the ingredient editor open. To do this, please refer to Ingredient Editor – Open the Current Ingredient File.

If you know the price per pound for a particular ingredient, you can enter the price values directly, please refer to Editing Values in a Selected Property Column in an Ingredient File.

The Ingredient Data Form is also useful if you need to edit/review ingredient prices in something other than price per pound.

To access the price editor that is part of the Ingredient Data Form:

Click the Ingredient button and select Edit / View Price.

The Ingredient Data Form appears.

Select the ingredient you wish to edit (A in figure below). If it is not in the list, close the form and add it.

Enter the value directly in the space provided (B) or use the Price Calculator.

To use the Price Calculator:
Enter the price in the space provided (C).

Enter the amount (D) and select units (E).

Press the Calculate button (F). If you wish the value to be entered when you press the Calculate button, click the check box (G).

Press the Enter button if needed (B). This will also update the price if the Update when Enter clicked checkbox (B) is checked. If is not, click the Update button.

Close the window when finished. When prompted to save changes answer yes.
