% Overage
This column allows the user to display an amount for a Dietary Ingredient based on having an extra amount to ensure the label meets requirements. A value for % overage is entered (1) and an adjusted amount is calculated that is displayed on the label (2).

The following shows how the % overage is calculated (3).
![]()
The value used for a Protein overage affects the calculation when determining amino acid content. This part of the Amino Acid report shows the protein content and compares it to the calculated protein content based on totaling the amino acid content. Notice that if an overage is used (1) that the total protein content is based on the content with overage (2).

The user can enter a negative overage value (1) to establish the starting value necessary to achieve a particular amount on the label (2).

Override
The override columns allow the user to set the amount for any dietary ingredient or its daily value to be displayed. In this example, the user is creating a dual column label. Override values have been entered for both columns for Vitamin A (1 & 2).
