The following explains how to accomplish common tasks in the Supplement Facts Section.
Modifying Formula ID, Name, Notes and Attachments
You need to be in the Supplement Facts section.
Click the View button and select Name, Notes and ID.

Or you can also click the Name, ID & Notes button.

Modifying Other Dietary Ingredient Amounts (Enter Recipe Amounts)
In other sections of TechWizard this would be referred to as Entering Recipe Amounts. The Introduction in this section discussed the 2 types of ingredients, i.e. (b)(2) Dietary Ingredients and Other Dietary Ingredients.
Other Dietary ingredients can be ingredients as well as properties. The ingredients that make up the recipe for the formula can be changed based on selecting either the amount option or the ingredient percent option (1). Iin the figure below the Amount option is selected. The cells are blue under the column with the heading, Actual (2). When the user enters a value in one of these cells, 2 things happen. The ingredient % is updated and the actual serving size (3) is updated. If we were in the Formula Development section, the actual serving size would correspond to the batch size.

Modifying Other Dietary Ingredient Percentages
In the Supplement Facts section, select the Percent option. Change the percentage amount for one of the ingredients. Delete the amount for one of the other ingredients and click the Normalize button. Notice that the total amount is shown at the top of the ingredient list.

Designating an Item
An ingredient that makes up a Supplement Facts recipe can have several different designations. In the figure below, the ingredient is part of a blend (1). The user selecting blend from the choices available (2).

D. Ingr – Dietary Ingredient
Blend – Part of a Blend
Ingr. Dec – Ingredient Declaration
Hide – Don’t show the item on the label. This is used for vitamins and minerals where the amounts are part of the (b)(2) dietary ingredients on the label.
Italicizing the Genus and Species Portion of a Dietary Ingredient
This example shows how to italicize the genus and species portion of a dietary ingredient.
An item is designated as a Dietary Ingredient (1). The item description (2) does not match what we wish to use on the label. The option to use the Ingredient Description (3) is set to Y for yes and the appropriate ingredient description is entered (4). The option to Italicize is set to Y for yes (5). The words to be italicize are entered (6).

The Supplement Facts output is shown below (7).

The procedure works the same way with blends too.
Adding a Description for a Vitamin
An additional description for a vitamin can be used on a Supplement Facts label to provide clarity or more detailed information about the form or source of the vitamin. In this example, we will provide the source of Vitamin A.
In the figure below, we are in the row for Vitamin A (1). We have set the (b)(2) Dietary Ingredient options so that it is displayed on the label if the amount is greater than 0 (greater than 2% Daily Value) (2). The option to use the Ingredient Description (3) is set to Y for yes. The description for Vitamin A including its source are entered for the Ingredient Description (4).

The Supplement Facts output is shown below (5).
