Dietary ingredients can be displayed as part of a proprietary blend. In the following examples, we will show you how to add a dietary ingredient to a proprietary blend and review the settings available for blends.

Adding a Dietary Ingredient to a Proprietary Blend

Dietary Ingredients can be displayed as part of a proprietary blend. In this example, the user sets the item type to blend (1 & 2).

The Add Blend window appears.

If the name of the blend is available in the list, select it (3) and click the Select button (3).

If the blend is not in the list, click the Add button (4).

If you wish to remove a blend from the list, click the Delete button (5).

Proprietary Blend Settings

To access the blend settings, you must add at least one dietary ingredient to a blend first (see previous section).

Click the Blend Settings button (1).

The Blend Settings window appears (see below).

The left side of the window provides settings for the blend (1 in figure below) while the right side of the window provides settings for the dietary ingredients (2). Both blends are set to display an amount in mg. Text wrapping is set to No and the number of decimal places is set to 0. The user is working with a dual column label so blend overrides are available for the first and second columns. The dietary ingredients in both blends are set to not display an amount, display in a linear format and to wrap text. These settings override any competing settings in Supplement Facts Formula Development section.

The result of these blend settings is shown below.
